Ash Grey
The name Ash Grey is short for Ashley Graham. She is a fully qualified Australian milliner who was trained by some of the best working milliners in the world. She has a degree in Visual Arts from Deakin University and got her Millinery Certificate 2, 3 & 4 qualification at Kangan TAFE in Melbourne. After interning with some incredible milliners she began creating her own ranges and showed her work on the runway at three Melbourne Spring Fashion Week shows. Ash now lives in Nottingham in the UK.
Inspirations
Ash was drawn to millinery while studying Art as she saw it as sculpture you could wear. In the lead up to the 2011 annual Melbourne Cup Racing Carnival, Ash was seeking to create a fabulous outfit and fell in love with a headpiece which she wished to recreate to match her ensemble. She began creating 'wearable art' and the obsession commenced. She's currently still inspired by art as well as fashion and nature.
Couture and Bespoke
All Ash Grey creations are completely designed and made by hand by Ash herself in her home studio. She prides herself in finishing each piece beautifully with a great eye for detail and flair for design. Ash loves working with her clients to create fabulous outfits and has a special love for bridal millinery.
